According to Article 5 of the statute of Pardis Technology Park approved by the Council for the Expansion of Higher Education of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (2005), the composition of the Board of Trustees of Pardis Technology Park is as follows:
Legal Members:
- First Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran (Chairman of the Board)
- Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy (Vice Chairman of the Board)
- President of Pardis Technology Park (Secretary of the Board)
- Minister of Petroleum
- Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education or his/her authorized representative
- Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade or his/her authorized representative
- Deputy Minister for Technology and Innovation of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology
- Head of the Planning and Budget Organization or his/her authorized representative
- Governor of Tehran Province or his/her authorized representative
- Head of the Center for Transformation and Progress Cooperation of the Presidency
- Head of the Organization for Investment and Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran
- President of Sharif University of Technology
Real Members:
Four to six scientific, cultural or social figures at local or national level who have played an effective role in the development and progress of the Park, subject to the following priorities:
- One expert in science and technology parks affairs
- One faculty member from universities of Tehran Province
- One political, social or scientific figure from Tehran Province
- Two experts in industrial affairs of the region or technology units
- One expert in economic development affairs
* Real members of the Board of Trustees of Pardis Technology Park are appointed for a four-year term by decree of the President, in accordance with Articles (a) and (b) of the amended law on the establishment of boards of trustees of universities and higher education and research institutions.
Duties and Authorities of the Board of Trustees
According to Article 7 of the Law on the Establishment of Boards of Trustees of Universities and Higher Education and Research Institutions and Article 6 of the Park statute, the duties and authorities of the Board of Trustees are as follows:
- Approval of internal regulations
- Approval of the organizational structure
- Approval of financial, executive, scientific and technological policies
- Approval of proposed programs related to Park activities
- Supervision of proper implementation of Park programs and review of annual performance reports
- Approval of employment, administrative, financial and organizational regulations
- Approval of Park development plans
- Approval of regulations for establishing technology centers and institutes
- Determination of management of production, service and workshop units
- Approval of annual budget proposals
- Approval of balance sheet and profit and loss statements
- Approval of revenue collection and expenditure mechanisms
- Appointment of auditor and treasurer
- Approval of borrowing ceilings from banks and credit institutions
- Efforts to attract private sector support
- Determining allowances and remuneration
- Review of reports submitted by the President of the Park
- Proposal for dissolution or amendment of the Park statute
