The "New Technologies Development Fund" is one of the non-governmental research and technology funds that was established in 2007 (1386) with the support of the government and Pardis Technology Park, based on Article 100 of the Third National Development Plan Act (re-enacted in Article 45 of the Fourth Development Plan Act) and under the authorization of the relevant working group. The purpose of establishing this fund is to create grounds for participation and investment by the non-governmental sector, to provide quantitative and qualitative support for applied, developmental and technological research activities, and to offer special and unique financial services to specialist entrepreneurs and innovators.
The shareholders of this fund are:
Venture capital investment; civil partnership; leasing of knowledge-based products; issuance of bank guarantees; installment sales; mudarabah; guaranteeing knowledge-based projects; interest-free loans (qard al-hasanah).
