Pardis Technology Park (PTP) hosted a delegation of over 20 international figures from more than 10 countries on July 8, 2026, showcasing Iran's innovation capabilities on the sidelines of national mourning ceremonies, the IIID Media Center reported.

The visiting delegation comprised Sunni and Shia clerics, heads of academic institutions, political activists, and cultural center directors from nations including Turkey, China, Malaysia, Sierra Leone, Lebanon, South Africa, Senegal, Greece, Russia, Tunisia, and Indonesia.

During the visit, the delegation engaged in a comprehensive review of the Iran International Innovation District (IIID) through several key activities:

  • A strategic meeting with Mehdi Saffarinia, President of Pardis Technology Park, to discuss the ecosystem's formation, the role of knowledge-based companies, and international expansion plans.
  • A tour of the permanent technological achievements exhibition to assess domestic R&D capabilities.
  • An inspection of the medical equipment exhibition to observe advancements in the health-tech sector.

The initiative aligns with broader efforts to promote Iran's scientific infrastructure and foster international technological diplomacy, providing a platform to demonstrate the commercialization capabilities of domestic tech firms to global elites.
