Over 20 knowledge-based companies join the formation of the (IIID) Iran International Innovation District Technologists’ Association.
More than 20 knowledge-based companies have agreed in principle to form the IIID Technologists’ Association, an initiative aimed at fostering synergy, strengthening cooperation, and representing the collective voice of technology companies within the innovation ecosystem.
Seyed Abbas Shahmoradi, representative of the knowledge-based companies based in the (IIID) Iran International Innovation District, announced during the 23rd Annual Summit of the district that the process to establish the IIID Technologists’ Association has begun. Over 20 knowledge-based companies have already joined the initiative, and initial approval has been granted by the Iran Chamber of Commerce through its Tehran office.
According to Shahmoradi, initial support from IIID management paved the way for this effort. The next step will be the formation of the Founding Assembly within the next month, during which the board of directors, auditors, and other legal positions will be elected, registering the association as an official entity.
The primary mission of the association is to provide a unified voice for technology firms, enabling more effective interaction with decision-making bodies to address shared challenges. Issues such as financing, market access, and engagement with government agencies are expected to be handled more efficiently through the association’s collective framework.
Beyond removing existing barriers, the association aims to open new opportunities, including attracting international funding, facilitating advanced technology transfers, expanding domestic markets, and boosting exports of knowledge-based products.
The structure of the association will allow all members to actively contribute through specialized and general committees, while the board of directors will focus on execution and follow-up.
Shahmoradi expressed hope that the consolidation of scattered capabilities through the association will generate practical solutions to address national challenges.
