Five new high-tech products from Members of IIID make their debut across pharmaceuticals, railway technology, polymer and rubber industries, and oil, gas, and petrochemicals.
At the 23rd Annual Meeting of Pardis Technology Park (PTP), the Iran International Innovation District (IIID) introduced five groundbreaking products developed by its member companies. These innovations span pharmaceuticals, rail transportation systems, polymer and rubber manufacturing, and the oil, gas, and petrochemical sectors.
The five products showcased reflect the expanding capabilities of IIID companies in driving technology-based solutions:
1. Sirolimus – Organ Transplant Rejection Prevention Drug
Developed by Zist Takhmir, this knowledge-based pharmaceutical helps prevent kidney transplant rejection and treats rare conditions such as lymphangioleiomyomatosis and benign tumors like angiomyolipoma in patients with tuberous sclerosis. The drug features a unique mechanism of action, helps preserve kidney function, and reduces post-transplant tumor incidence.

2. Nintedanib – Anti-Inflammatory and Anti-Fibrotic Lung Drug
Marketed as Ofnib by Sana Pharmed (a member of Azadi Innovation Factory), this advanced tyrosine kinase inhibitor treats idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), other progressive interstitial lung diseases (ILDs), systemic sclerosis-associated lung disease (SSc-ILD), and adenocarcinoma-type non-small cell lung cancer.

3. Phenolic Novolac Resin for Rubber and Refractory Bricks
Produced by Rezitan, this resin acts as a binder in manufacturing dolomitic refractory bricks used in electric arc furnace operations. By replacing scarce magnesite with abundant dolomite, the product meets domestic demand, prevents foreign currency outflow, and strengthens the refractory brick industry.
4. Solid Alkyl Phenol Novolac Resin
Also from Rezitan, this advanced tackifier ensures strong adhesion between layers in tires and rubber components, serving major rubber manufacturing companies in Iran.

5. Smart Electro-Pneumatic Positioner
Developed by Vira Control Instrumentation Development Co., this locally designed device is essential in industrial automation, serving oil, gas, petrochemical, chemical, steel, mining, power, cement, agriculture, and food industries with reliable performance at a lower cost than imported alternatives.

6. Train Central Guidance System
Created by Sepna Technology Development, this AI-powered, IoT-enabled system integrates image processing to monitor routes, driver behavior, and passenger activity on platforms. It enhances safety by issuing real-time alerts to drivers, control centers, and stations, while logging incidents, generating analytical reports, and reducing the risk of accidents and financial losses.

The 23rd Annual Meeting reaffirmed IIID’s role as a leading hub in Iran’s innovation ecosystem, connecting knowledge-based companies with industry needs and showcasing the nation’s growing capacity for high-impact technology development.
